Pastoral Council (PPC)

The Parish Pastoral Council operates under Canon Law (536) to assist in fostering pastoral activity within Our Lady of Lourdes parish. The PPC supports the Parish Priest by identifying pastoral priorities, studying problems, recommending solutions, and fostering community coordination.

Responsibilities

The PPC oversees liturgical seasons and events, evangelisation, ecumenical outreach, catechetics, safeguarding, parish social activities, communications, and outreach to those in need. Members meet quarterly and report back to the parish community.

Meeting Format

Meetings follow a structured agenda with reports from each area of responsibility. Parishioners wishing to raise items should give two weeks advance notice. The Chair solicits agenda items and the Parish Priest approves the final agenda, which is circulated one week before the meeting.
