About our safeguarding
Churches are seen as part of the voluntary sector and they are expected to work in partnership with other statutory and voluntary organisations in order to protect children, young people and adults with care and support needs or adults at risk.
Our Lady Of Lourdes will promote the welfare of children, young people and adults, work to prevent abuse from occurring, seek to protect those that are at risk of being abused and respond well to those that have been abused.

Safe Spaces
A free and independent support service providing a confidential, personal and a safe space for anyone who has been abused by someone in the church or as a result of their relationship with the church.
DBS Update Service
A system which allows you to ask us to check for updates against your existing DBS disclosure certificate rather than making a fresh application each time your DBS needs renewing.
